Top of the class publishing

Whenever you read about child education and learning the experts always say that reading is one of the most important aspects of a child’s development. Therefore when we came across an independent publishing house that was aiming to engage children with some fun and interesting activities on their website we thought we would do a review of their website so read on to find out more about Top That Publishing.

About The Site
The Top That Publishing website is nicely laid out and as they specialise in Children’s books they heavily promote their authors on the home page and through their shop.

After a few clicks of the mouse you see there is much more to the site. Under the section “things to do” there are a number of activities that have been designed specifically for Children, from drawing competitions to learning how to cook, all of which are aimed at engaging younger website visitors and in a round about way encourage reading. Additionally they are taking steps into new media with e books and phone applications which will help improve child learning especially as many youngsters know more about technology than their parents.

What We Think
Top That Publishing really do get top marks for the site, it is very engaging and kept some of office juniors very engaged this afternoon (so it must work!!). Any site that promotes better learning has to be a good one so that’s why What’sGoodOnTheWeb recommend a visit to the Top That Publishing website.

Don’t buy it, rent it

Talking to friends one of the biggest costs they have with their young children is that they grow up so fast. From babe in arms to toddler, it goes in a flash and they are left with buggies, prams and all sorts of things that the children are to big for. When WhatsGoodOnTheWeb was told about Rentabuggy we thought what a genius idea so we thought we just had to give it a quick review. (Please Note: Golfers this website review is not for you!!)

About The Site
The concept of Rentabuggy is a great one. It’s like leasing a car but doing it for a pram or a buggy. You can rent the pram or buggy for as long a period as you need – holiday rentals for one week or more and long term rentals from three months onwards. The prices vary according to the make and model of the pram but compared to buying a brand new one every few months very competitive. An added advantage of the site to parents is that they can rent a buggy for a period and if they really like it buy one at a discounted price – A real try before you buy service.

What We Think
With families struggling at the moment due to the poor economic climate this idea is a real money saver – it avoids adding to the “pram mountain” and also means that as your child grows up you can keep changing the pram or buggy without having to find the money to buy the latest or best one on the market. We think Rentabuggy will continue to grow and it won’t be long before renting/leasing a pram becomes the norm for any growing family.

Win New Business at the Click of a Mouse

One of the biggest difficulties for any business is developing new business leads. As soon as you win one customer another drops off and with budgets tight many companies cannot afford a large sales force or marketing programme so they need to look for business in smarter, more dynamic ways. Using the Internet as a sales tool is one of the most popular ways to generate new business but often it can be a shot in the dark rather than a way to meet real customers so when we heard about Freeindex, the sales and supplier introduction website, we therefore thought we should put together a quick review of the website for our readers.

About The Site
Freeindex is a business directory that provides sales leads for UK based companies. The basics of the site are very simple, companies who are looking for services can search from thousands of companies listed who offer a specific type of service or they can list their requirements and receive pitches from companies who can deliver the service they are looking for.

According to the site they have over 1.2 million visitors each month and just by doing a quick search based the service you can provide (or are looking for) you can find possible opportunities. We did a search on marketing and found about three pages of opportunities listed from simple telemarketing projects through to large creative design requirements.

Unlike many of the other lead generation services online the site is totally free to use and is paid for through advertising rather than subscription.

What We Think
At What’s Good On The Web we have had a little prior experience of Freeindex and think it is a really good idea especially with businesses looking for cheaper ways to market their services or find a good deal. It does not try to hide opportunities behind a login area but allows users to browse opportunities freely and tender for jobs if they want to.

Overall we were very impressed with Freeindex, it’s easy to navigate around, clearly shows the opportunities, and as an added advantage you can also see how many other companies have bid for a job. As more and more companies find out about the site we think it will continue to grow and will no doubt become the number one website for any Sales Director looking for new business.

Please let us know your comments on Freeindex and don’t forget to visit the site, new business awaits.

Eco shopping all in one

Eco ShoppingIf you are anything like us here at WhatsGoodOnTheWeb we take the care of the environment very seriously. That’s why when we are shopping, either in the supermarket or online, we are always looking for eco-friendly products so when we find a site that has everything you need on it we like to let everyone know. That’s why we’ve put together this quick review of Biggreensmile.

About The Site
Biggreensmile is like many other shopping sites but with a difference, everything on the site is eco-friendly. They offer a range of household products from natural toothpastes through to energy saving products but the added advantage is there is no need to spend time hunting the shops as they have sourced all the products in one place.

In addition the site has some handy tips on saving energy and reducing your eco impact so even if you don’t buy anything from them they are a good resource for ideas around the home.

What We Think
Biggreensmile is a site you can’t help but like. The site is well laid out and offers some great eco products and the prices are comparable to supermarket shopping so there is no worries about being ripped off. If you’re looking for something that is slightly out of the ordinary that helps you do your bit for the environment give this site a go.

If you would like to know more about Biggreensmile and what you can do to help the environment from home please take a look at their website after you have read the review.
