Summer finally arrived last week and although we’ve had a few rain clouds since then we thought we’d put together a quick review of a new site that we quite like as it tells us all we need to know about our favourite subject …… beer.
The site is called www.beergenie.co.uk and it has been put together The British Beer and Pub Association.
Oh dear we hear you say, just another marketing website but you would be wrong. Beergenie is really well laid out and gives the reader loads of information on everything from how beer is made, the history of beer as well as how you can use it in cooking or even at Christmas …. did you know its not just for drinking?
We spent about half an hour looking at Beergenie as some of the information on it is quite absorbing particularly the definitions of each type of beer and its origins. The one thing it is missing is probably a search function that allows you to find details of your favourite tipple but this is just a minor point, there are plenty of other sites that offer this function.
We say that www.beergenie.co.uk is a very good site giving some great facts and information about beer and its uses. If you are looking for some of those pub quiz answers its a great place to start.
