ThinQFitness Website Review

Here is another Guest Review from Fiona from Fiona Outdoors

Fitness videos and much moreThe most common reason for not exercising is a lack of time. Most often people complain that it is impossible to squeeze keep-fit sessions into busy family and work lives. And so the nation continues to put on weight collectively. But how about if you could timetable a range of short keep-fit sessions to suit your own unique schedule – and in the privacy of your own home? A website called ThinQFitness offers a huge menu of on-line fitness videos, from 10 minute abs toners to 40 minute cardiovascular body blitz workouts, that you can follow at your convenience and to suit your ability. Some are only eight minutes long and there are videos to suit men, women, children and brides-to-be.

About The Site
This is a clear, straightforward website that offers a wide range of fitness videos to choose from. Many of the videos are free, while a subscription of £4.99 per month offers access to all the hundreds of fitness videos. There is also a well-written and informative blog of health and fitness videos, a shop selling fitness products and a page that tells you more about the how the site works. Just click on the fitness session of your choice, press the play button and follow the workout. If the phone rings or you want a rest, simply press pause!

What We Think
This site is ideal for time-poor people who are keen to get fit. The range of fitness videos, which can be viewed on your computer anytime and in your own home, cover every kind of fitness requirement and are aimed at all abilities. The videos are similar to the fitness classes you would attend at the gym. The presenters seem knowledgeable and motivating. The site is also easy to understand and access. To find out how various people enjoy these videos you can also check out their test-drive blog

Stay Cool In the Summer

Personal Cooling ReviewSummer, or what we have seen of it, is coming to an end but for those of us who are still looking to head away this year to warmer climates you may find the following website quite useful. The Personal Cooling Centre asked us to review their website so we thought we’d give it a quick mention.

About The Site
The Personal Cooling Centre is a small retail site that specialises in offering products that help you keep cool in the summer (they also offer a range of winter warmers to). The difference about the products is that they are mainly non electrical meaning that even though you keep cool your not spending a fortune on air conditioning.

The Website is really easy to navigate and we found a good range of products available to suit all pockets. The site has a secure payments system so you know your card details are safe.

What We Think
Personal Cooling is a nice site for a range of niche products. It’s user friendly and we did a bit of hunting around on other sites to compare costs and they were good value for money.

If you want to know more about them we’d suggest you visit the Personal Cooling Website.

Make money from your photographs

ShutterstockNearly everyone we know is looking to make some extra money these days and for those with a creative flair we thought we’d put together a review of the Shutterstock website which is one of the leading websites for designers to source quality and imaginative photographic images. As part of the site they allow photographers to upload their own images which they will resell on your behalf paying you a commission for each one used.

About The Site
Shutterstock has been around for a number of years and has millions of users around the World. Each one of these users pays a subscription for the service and the site manages the whole relationship and ensures that your images appear in the search and also that your pictures are not used without permission (All the images are watermarked). The amounts payable vary from a few pence up to about £15 but if you are a photographer with a large portfolio of original images you could potentially earn a significant revenue from the site.

What We Think
Although selling your images directly may generate significantly more money the fact that Shutterstock is used by designers and news agencies around the World means that more people see the images and potentially the earnings could be significantly higher particularly if the photographer is slightly more imaginative or captures the right image.

We’d recommend any photographer with a good portfolio of images to sign up the Shutterstock and if you want to find more visit their website and look at the affiliate programme.

Follow in the footsteps of Wainwright

LakedistrictThis year the staycation has been one of the popular holiday destinations and one of the most beautiful places in the UK is The Lake District (Sorry to all those that disagree) so when we were asked to review the Lake District National Park website we thought we should. The area is famous for its natural beauty, walks and on the lake activities.

About The Site
Set up by the Lake District National Park Authority the site is probably the first stop for anyone who is looking at visiting the Lake District. It lists everything from local events through to facts and figures about the region. The website is easy to navigate and to be honest you do get lost looking at some of the images and with so much information available you will spend quite a bit of time on the site.

What We Think
The Lake District National Park website has been put together very well with loots of information. It’s relatively easy to navigate around and we found everything we needed quickly. We’d strongly recommend anyone who is visiting the Lake District to take a look at the site and use it as a good guide to planning a visit.

Dealtastic – New Website Review

Dealtastic Website ScreenshotShopping online can be a real hassle sometimes. There are now so many retailers that promise rock bottom prices but without hours an hours of searching you never know whether this is true. A brand new website that has launched is aiming to cut out the searches and put users right in front of some top bargains, called Dealtastic, we thought we’d put together a quick review of the website and let our readers know more about it and how it works.

About The Site
Although Dealtastic is an online retailer it is completely different for any other because there is only one product for sale each day. This may seem a little odd but the reality is because they concentrate on just selling one product they are able to get significant discounts due to the volume they sell. Using the site is pretty simple as there is no messing around registering, just click on the button that says “I’ll take one” and away you go.

As Dealtastic is so new the site content is a bit limited at the moment but we are pretty sure that as the numbers of users grows it will fill up fairly rapidly particularly as people begin to feedback about the bargains they get.

What We Think
The Dealtastic idea is very good as it avoids the searching. They list upcoming offers so if you can wait a few days you can grab some real bargains. We liked the site and think it takes the concept of group buying just a little bit further and will probably do very well.

We hope you liked our review and if you want to find out more about Dealtastic we suggest you visit their website.

Go shopping with the RNLI

RNLI Shop WebsiteHere at What’s Good On The Web we are regularly asked to review Charity websites and as many of our readers know we are only too happy to give them a mention because of the good work they do. One of favourites is the RNLI and they have a shop where you can buy officially licensed and branded products and the proceeds are then used to support the fantastic work of the RNLI across the country.

If you are in the mood for a bit of retail therapy and looking for something a little bit different that helps support a brilliant charity we’d ask all our readers to take a look at the RNLI Shop.

Many readers will be surprised to find the range of things available from the RNLI Shop (Not just a mug or pen) which includes everything from clothing through to garden features. The site has things for all ages so there is no excuse.
