(Review by Fiona from Fionaoutdoors)
The staycation is reportedly still growing and one big revival trend that ties in nicely with more stay-in-the-UK holidaymakers is campervanning. Of course, the marketplace for campervanning hire companies is hot – but one website that we came across could sell their trips on the photography alone – Bigtreecampervans.
About The Site
The first thing that greets you on this clear and informative site is the superb photography. The pictures of stunning Scottish countryside are worth browsing through on their own. Yes, this site is selling campervan holidays – and the photos do include artistically placed campervans – but it does so in an inviting way.
Bigtreecampervans also includes some great suggestions of campervanning adventures in Scotland, which would be useful even if you weren’t hiring a campervan. Wildlife trips, hillwalking, cycling and watersports are all covered. The well-written and creative blog adds a great deal of further reading. It includes top five recommendations for campervanning spots for climbers, surfers and families.
What We Think
If you’re still “thinking about” the merits of a campervanning holiday we’ll bet this site will go a long way to enticing you to book up. There are lots of useful suggestions about places to go and kit to take, and the blog adds a personal side to the business. The pictures of Scotland’s scenery really sold it for us.
